This country house is an invitation to travel and daydream. Reverie through materials that confront and respond to each other: stone and lime plaster, old wood and stainless steel, tartan wool fabrics and Hindu Kush blankets. A journey through 7 en-suite bedrooms, each offering a unique setting and the chance to read about the Alaskan fjords, Tibetan plateaus, Himalayan peaks or Swiss lakes. On the top floor, a large bay window brings the living space face to face with the snow-capped peaks of Serre Chevalier. This room, featuring a living room, central fireplace and kitchen designed by Stéphane Barbier Bouvet, can accommodate up to 15 guests. The lower floors feature two independent entrances and seven bedrooms with three baths and four showers. On the garden level, the former vaulted stone barn has been transformed into a Native American living room. Opposite the 70s stove, inspired by a trip to the Easter Islands, it's around a stainless steel and old wood bar that stories of ski touring are recounted in the dead of night. This house has been renovated with respect for the environment, using noble materials and traditional techniques. The underfloor heating is powered by solar panels.
